about

T Sisters’ forthcoming EP LIve at Tiny Telephone was captured live at the infamous Bay Area recording studio and and really demonstrates the growth of the band since their self titled album released at the end of 2016. The siblings tripple harmony and song writing are still as mesmerizing, but the integration of the backing band's skillful rocking element really puts this one in a new category and the T SIsters meet the challenge with their amazing presence and voice.

T Sisters first came to national recognition with a performance on A Prairie Home Companion and a nationally broadcasted rendition of the national anthem at a San Francisco Giants game. Their awe-inspiring harmonies have impressed many prominent artists, leading to onstage collaborations with the likes of Amos Lee, Jim Lauderdale, and The Wood Brothers, as well as supporting vocal performances for three years in a row at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. Quickly garnering the attention of top tastemakers, the debut single “The Road” from T Sisters received early airplay on Sirius/XM, and the second album single “Come Back Down” has aired on the venerable San Francisco radio station KFOG.

About the Grateful Dead cover on the EP:

"The Oakland based group chose to cover the song as part of a tribute to its release and its message, drawing inspiration from the song’s lyrics and progressions. Says the band, “We chose to cover ‘Bird Song’ because we were really drawn to Robert Hunter’s poetic lyrics, a touching homage to Janis Joplin, and the unique melody of the song. Because the melody covers such a large range, we had to take an interesting approach to adapt the song to our three-part harmony style. Captured in one take and recorded live to tape, this recording honors the authentic and raw performance style of the Grateful Dead".- LIve for Music:
